Planting and growing conditions have been near perfect this year.

Early planting, 3 weeks ahead of normal, and warm conditions with timely rain ensured a good and early establishment of the crops. The weather has warmed considerably over the last 2-3 weeks and the crops have responded accordingly.

The winter wheat harvest may get underway at the end of July, depending on the intervening weather, and predicted yields are good to excellent.
